Motive ELD data, wired directly into the load timeline.
LogAI.ai ingests Motive location pings, HOS status, and geofence events to keep shipment positions current, ETAs accurate, and check calls only for loads that actually need them — not every load on the board.
What the integration does
Motive provides real-time visibility. LogAI connects that visibility to action — updating ETAs, suppressing unnecessary check calls, and surfacing HOS exceptions before they strand a load.
Real-Time GPS Position Updates
Motive location pings are ingested by the Shipment Events agent and written to the load event spine with a source tag (ELD) and a timestamp. The load record shows the current position without a dispatcher placing a check call.
Automated ETA Recalculation
Each position update triggers a new ETA calculation against the scheduled delivery window. When the ETA drifts outside the acceptable range, the Service Failure Monitor fires and early warnings go out — before the shipper notices.
Check-Call Window Suppression
When Motive provides a recent position, LogAI skips the automated check-call window for that load. Check calls are reserved for loads where ELD data goes dark or the driver is on a personal phone outside Motive coverage.
Hours of Service Monitoring
HOS data from Motive tells LogAI when a driver is approaching their daily drive limit. Dispatcher alerts fire early enough to arrange a reschedule before the load is stranded or a delivery appointment is missed.
Geofence Arrival and Departure
Arrival and departure events at origin and destination facilities are detected from Motive vehicle location data. Detention clocks start automatically when a driver is inside a geofence beyond the free-time window.
Source Confidence on the Load Record
Every position event on the load record shows its source and confidence level: ELD positions from Motive carry high confidence. Check-call positions carry medium confidence. Driver tracking link positions carry low-to-medium confidence. The tracking screen always shows the freshest, highest-confidence position.
Every Motive event lands on the load record
GPS pings, HOS changes, and geofence events are ingested via Motive webhook and attached to the load record with a timestamp and source identifier. The audit trail is complete.
| Event | Direction | Key Fields | Trigger |
|---|---|---|---|
| GPS Position Update | LogAI ← Motive | Latitude, longitude, heading, speed, event timestamp, vehicle ID | Motive webhook fires on position change or configurable interval |
| HOS Status Change | LogAI ← Motive | Driver duty status, hours remaining, cycle reset timestamp | HOS status change event from Motive ELD |
| Geofence Event | LogAI ← Motive | Vehicle ID, geofence ID, event type (enter/exit), timestamp | Vehicle enters or exits a LogAI-defined facility geofence |
| Check-Call Trigger Suppressed | LogAI (internal) | Load ID, last Motive position timestamp, check-call window | Recent Motive position exists — check-call agent skips this window |
